Face Of Hope

    Edie, 14, dreams of some day becoming a doctor, so it's no wonder that her favorite shows on television feature doctors and hospital emergency rooms.  She pictures herself as a surgeon and knows she has to work hard to achieve her goal.  Edie does very well in school.  Math and science are her favorite subjects.

     Edie enjoys many outdoor activities, skating, listening to music, dancing and playing video games.  She also delights in having her hair done, and doing her friends' hair.  Edie describes herself as being "a fast learner, smart and nice when I want to be."  Intelligent and talkative, she is always ready to give her opinion on things and knows what she likes.

     Edie has a Lifebook-- an on-going record of her life, including photos, souvenirs, documents and other items as well as her comments.  She yearns to have a permanent home to call her own and would thrive with a loving family that would help her reach her potential and fulfill her dreams.  She imagines sharing her Lifebook with her "forever" parents and going shopping and to the movies with her adoptive mother.
