Charismatic, caring and outgoing, Yomashei, 15, has a wonderful sense of humor that has made her  very popular among her peers.  A multi-talented teenager, she enjoys singing, attending church, swimming, acting, drawing, cooking and working with younger children.  She also is learning to play the piano.

Yomashei is well-spoken, strong-willed and isn't afraid to stand up for herself.  Enrolled in the 10th grade, she excels academically.  Social studies is her favorite subject.  Yomashei has definite ideas for her future, which includes a career as a forensic scientist.  She plans to attend college, where she will also take courses in psychology.

Yomashei's childhood lacked the stability and emotional support that would allow her to develop a sense of security and self worth.  She has experienced many disappointments and losses, which have made it difficult for her to trust anyone not to leave her.  Through therapy she is learning to cope with the emotional and behavioral challenges resulting from her chaotic past.  She would thrive in a patient, loving, committed and supportive family with a strong female role model to guide her and help her reach her potential.  Yomashei is eligible for financial subsidy.
