Face Of Hope

          Although Tah'Jeria is only 12 years old, she has already determined that she wants a career in the health care field.  "I want to be a doctor or a nurse because I like to help people and help them feel better", she says.  Known for her commitment to those she cares about, she is quick to go to the defense of her friends.

          Very personable and a confident speaker, Tah'Jeria enjoys spending time with others and with her dog.  Like many girls her age, Tah'Jeria is a Hannah Montana fan.  She also likes taking nature walks, visiting campgrounds and amusement parks, and participating in other outdoor activities.

           In the seventh grade, Tah'Jeria benefits from small class size and individual attention from her teacher.  Reading and writing are her favorite subjects and she is a member of the school chorus.  When her teacher talked about Barcelona, Spain, Tah'Jeria was intrigued and her plans for the future include a trip to that city.

          Tah'Jeria gets along well with her foster family and helps her foster mother with the chores.  She hopes to be adopted and has definite ideas about the kind of family she wants.  "I can talk to them and tell them about my feelings," she says.  Tah'Jeria knows that she must alson contribute to the relationship.  "I have to give them respect and show them that I care about them.  Tah'Jeria would thrive with a family that would allow her to express herself freely.  Close to her sister, it is important that they remain in contact.  Tah'Jeria is eligible for financial subsidy.
